History of Gold

To know History of Gold!!!

We need to go back into the past. Nobody knows when actually Gold was found but all the assumptions made by historians as the same we are going to do into today's blog.

In India Gold was common as India used to be called (SONE KI CHIDIYA), Golden Bird. If you see history,  Gold was actually found in India first at Apadana in Achaemenid Empires around 500BC. Those people used to carry gold on the yoke.

A small amount of gold was founded in Spanish Caves in the period 40,000 BC. The Muisca raft which is a combination of Gold, Silver, and Copper was created in 600-1600AD and was discovered by pasca in 1969. Now it's been kept in Gold Museum, Bogota Colombia.

Largest mines are now in Saudi Arabia across the red sea. However, Egypt has a vast history of gold if you see the oldest map of the gold mine known to be found in Egypt around 1200-1320  BC. Gold is mentioned in Amarna Letters around the 14-15 century.

We used to deal in gold coins in almost all the kingdoms on the earth, such as the Gold coin of Eucratides I (171-145  BC). Kingdom of mali represents this below picture of gold coin.

Now gold is so essential in our life in every country you will find gold and their different qualities. In fact, previously it has only found in original form without any mixture of brass. Now you will find in three categories 24,22 & 18 carats, in which 24 carats to be called pure and others have some mix other commodities. 

Religiously gold is known to be pure and its value found in various books of religion, Such as the bible has various quotations about it. Gold is mentioned many times in the bible in Old testament Genesis 2:11 at Havilah, Story of the Golden Calf. The book of revelation 21:21 describes the city of New Jerusalem which was built with pure gold. The Golden Temple in Punjab which is the holy place for Sikh religion and was built in 1577 with around 750kg of gold on it. 

 

Such as another example which takes you the oldest city on earth Jerusalem where The dome of rock is covered in 24 Karat of gold. Which was built by the Umayyad caliph ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Marwān in the late 7th century. This place is famous for all three religions on earth, Isam, Christianity, and Jewes.

In Sports, the highest prize is the Gold medal such as in the Olympic games.

We extracting gold since 1910, and we so far extracted 75% of gold on earth, we have limited quantity but we are still discovering exactly which all places it exists. If you see a program it comes on Discovery channel name has Gold Rush. Their team is on looking for gold in various places.

                                                

Kerala is God's own country. Kerala's famous Padmanabhaswamy Temple holds about Rs. 1.2 ton worth of precious metals including gold. It is believed that the Travancore royal family has been accumulating its gold wealth in the temple for thousands of years.

And Kerala owns the largest amount of gold in their state and they have famous shops in the world like Joyalukas, Kalyan, and Malabar.

This all small and short history of gold. There is not any sign for gold but it has its own color which is called Golden. And it doesn't have any shape. The below picture gives you a perfect description of how it's in its original form.
